Fresh baguettes! 

We made baguettes from scratch with egg salad. Each group prepared the baguettes for the following group as the dough needed time to rest. The kids enjoyed our "kneading party" and creating their own versions of egg salad. We also learned about the importance of egg safety as we worked with hard boiled eggs.

You may find the egg salad recipe below. The baguette dough recipe is from Leah's cookbook Baking with Kids.

For individual Egg Salad:

  • 1 hard boiled egg, peeled
  • 1 scoop plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a bowl, mash together hard boiled egg with remaining ingredients. Adjust seasoning to taste
